These Days in November
After recurring bouts of toothaches, headaches, body aches (and even toe aches), I finally decided it was time for another vacay. After being labeled by my boss as "emotionally unstable" in one of our coaching sessions, I realized that I've had enough of the drama. She obviously did not know me well enough to understand how to approach me, lest had she any plans of making me grow in the company. This is after months of turning over the key and making things work for her in her new role. Bah. Enuf of the crap, please...I might as well move on to better & greater things.
And how do I do that? I shall start with me. Easy peasy, you say? It's all about taking time off to care for the one thing that should've been my first priority in the first place: ME. I do think I''ve almost gotten over most of my heartaches (and they come in all sorts of forms, you'd be surprised). Take note: ALMOST being the operative word. So with this being said, I filed for a 7 day leave and decided to take a trip to Thailand.
My leave was approved (thank God!) and I already booked my tickets. Yipee!!! I might as well start the countdown. I've even got my itinerary planned:
- Spend 3 days exploring Bangkok and its not-so-hidden treasures:
- Phat Pong, Chatuchak and all those lovely markets (Think: Shopping spree!)
- Numerous Buddhist temples
- Chao Phraya river
- Bangkok's streets teeming with yummy Thai delicacies and street food (Read: Tom Yum Goong, anyone?)
- Gallivanting the city in one of those infamous tuk-tuks (Some say that Bangkok's traffic is worst than Manila. This, of course, I have to experience for myself!)
- Fun-filled Thai festivals I know there will be a lot of
- ...and an elephant ride
I am already imagining myself doing ANTM-like poses ala Danielle, Jonie and that gaya-gaya Sarah of Cycle 6:Which one do you think one rock'd it? Hehe.2. After spending 3 days I will be heading down South to Ko Phangan for the famous Full Moon Party. Seasoned travellers have been raving about this. I, on the other hand, am just curious if this beach will beat the Boracay experience. Hrrrm, we'll see.
Doesn't this remind you of Boracay in Summer?3. Island hopping in Phi Phi island, anyone?
4. And lastly, amidst the seemingly chaotic events planned, number 1 on my list would be the spa retreats and authentic Thai massage experience. Hello, I'm in the country where this mind blowing experience supposedly originated, why would I NOT give it a go?
Beauty and Wellness, here I come!
